NASA's Roman Space Telescope Launches!

NASA's newest space telescope has launched on a quest to explore the hidden universe, lifting off aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The mission is the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, a NASA flagship designed to map the universe on a scale far larger than any previous observatory. Its powerful 300-megapixel camera can capture regions of sky about 100 times larger than Hubble's field of view, while keeping comparable image sharpness. Scientists hope Roman will help uncover secrets of dark energy, dark matter, and distant exoplanets in the years ahead.
